మల్టీఫ్లెక్సుల్లో సినిమా ప్రారంభంలో జాతీయ గీతాన్ని ఆలపించడం కామన్. థియేటర్లలో కూర్చొన్న ప్రేక్షకులు వెంటనే లేచి జాతీయగీతం పూర్తియ్యే వరకు నిలబడి తమ దేశభక్తిని చాటుకుంటారు. బెంగళూరుకు చెందిన ఓ కుటుంబానికి సినిమా థియేటర్లలో చేదు అనుభవం ఎదురైంది. థియేటర్ లో జాతీయగీతం ఆలపన సమయంలో లేచి నిలబడలేదు. దీంతో అక్కడి మిగతా ప్రేక్షకులు అభ్యంతరం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. జాతీయ గీతం పట్ల గౌరవం లేదా అని ఆ కుటుంబాన్ని ఏకిపారేశారు.
సీట్లో కూర్చొని ఉన్న కుటుంబ సభ్యులను పాకిస్థాన్ తీవ్రవాదులు అంటూ చెడుగుడు ఆడేశారు. గ్రూపు సభ్యులంతా కలిసి కుటుంబాన్ని మాటలతో బెదరగొట్టారు. వీరిలో కన్నడ నటులైన ఐశ్వర్య, అరుణ్ గౌడ కూడా ఉన్నారు.
ఈ ఘటన బెంగళూరులోని మల్లేశ్వరంలో PVR ఒరియన్ మాల్ మల్టీఫ్లెక్స్ లో ధనుష్ నటించిన అసురన్ తమిళ్ మూవీ వీక్షిస్తున్న సమయంలో జరిగింది. ఈ ఘటనను బీవీ ఐశ్వర్య.. వీడియో తీసి సోషల్ మీడియాలో పోస్టు చేయడంతో వైరల్ అయింది. వీడియోను చూసిన నెటిజన్లు తమదైన శైలిలో స్పందిస్తూ ట్విట్టర్ లో కామెంట్లు పెడుతున్నారు.

I support and love my country, but I don’t think its any of my business to ensure every other Indian does too, respect and love should come from within and not forced. So if they don’t want to stand its their choice. This jingoistic approach to nationalism is not called for
